Hi everyone!
Firstly, if you are reading this! My sincere thanks for sticking with me and also my greatest appreciation that you are confident my content is useful to you!
In this newsletter and going forward, I will be sharing the short thoughts that I gained during my work, through training, readings, and discussion with friends and the long form can be found on my website, podcasts, and YouTube videos at a later date.
Generative AI
The latest & hot topic right now of course is Generative AI, namely ChatGPT & Bard in the text space and Stable Diffusion & Midjourney in the image space.
Like any new tool, it has created uncertainty leading to fear that content creators are going to be replaced. In my opinion, I doubt the replacement will happen. In fact, what I strongly believe in is “Augmented Intelligence” rather. Content creators can now use these Generative AI models to generate a “base” content and creators can then edit the generated accordingly.
Moreover, it gives people like me who cannot paint/draw or have lousy writing skills access to create reasonably good images or text content easily. Thus I foresee there will be a “content explosion” and hit the equilibrium of a new normal where content creation is easily in the hands of more people and it is up to the human being to be better at curating and processing content to grow their knowledge and wisdom.
